Atlantic Metalworks’s GI-70 is ready and able to take on an enormous amount of grease with a huge flow rate of 35 gallons per minute. While you do need to clean them out every now and then, you’ll be glad that you saved yourself the future trouble of clogged drains and obnoxious fines. Q&A

Can this unit be installed under ground with cover flush to ground level?

These are designed to be installed above ground. You can put it below ground, flush with the floor, but this will likely cause it to rust and deteriorate sooner. For an in-ground installation, I would recommend a plastic grease trap such as the Ashland Poly Trap - http://primasupply.com/equipment/ashland-polytrap/4835

How does the drain piping get connected to the grease trap-no-hub, glue, silicone?

The grease trap is shipped with a t-valve to fit your pipes to the trap.
