Works well after the warranty call.....

We purchased this unit for our restaurant after our old cooler that had been band-aided so much over the years from the previous owner finally gave out. We decided to go with a new unit vs. trying to properly fix what we had. We finally decided on this unit. The purchase went smoothly and shipping seemed to be fast, until the driver decided that he couldn't navigate our parking lot and took it back to the terminal. Since we were shut down because of our dead cooler, I opted to go to the terminal and pick it up vs waiting through the weekend for a re-attempt at delivery. It seemed to be well packaged and no damage was noted upon initial inspection, so it was installed on Friday night. Saturday, when we tried to plug it in, it just wouldn't stay on. A quick warranty call on Monday brought a tech to our location Monday afternoon. He discovered that the power switch was bad. He ran jumper wires to confirm that it would run and found it to be either low or out of refrigerant. So he filled it and confirmed it was cooling. He then removed the jumper wires while I was busy with something else and left. When I had realized that the jumpers were removed a little while later, I had to call him the next morning since we weren't in operation because the cooler wasn't working. He come back out the following day (Wednesday) and reinstalled the jumpers to not have it kick on again. He found a loose wire in a connector under the unit which he had to repair. It is running now, but it still does not have the switch installed after about a week and a half. I can say it works wonderfully now and keeps everything below 40 degrees. Prima Supply was outstanding in their follow-up and was on top of everything trying to make sure we were taken care of during our down time. The refrigerator seems to work great now, it just would have been great if it would have worked out of the box instead of going through all of this to get it working. We are still waiting on the power switch, I guess it would have been nice if Westwind would have used a more standard switch that is more readily available.
