The evaporator motor switch plays an important role in the operation of your True GDM, T, TS, or TUR. When the door is open the switch turns off the evaporator motor and for solid door models it also turns on the lights. When the door is shut again the switch turns the evaporator motor back on. This is important because it prevents the fan from running unnecessarily and wasting energy while the door on your unit is open. On most models it is located above the door. An evaporator fan switch saves you money and maintains the correct function of your appliance.
